Why we built this

OT security stopped at "we saw it." SILDA decides.

Most of the industry monitors. A handful can partially enforce. SILDA was built by engineers who work on the OT/IT boundary directly, the goal from day one was a mediation authority that terminates every session, proves every decision, and prices every outcome.

What SILDA is

A hardened Level 3.5 Mediation Authority engineered for mission-critical industrial environments, manufacturing lines, water treatment, oil & gas facilities, and power grid substations. It enforces a Break-and-Inspect architecture: Level 3 OT sessions are fully terminated and securely re-originated to Level 4/5 cloud services, so no raw packet ever flows directly between the two zones.

Version 2.0 adds a privacy-preserving Federated Learning subsystem and an on-prem agentic investigation engine, both built to the same standard as the core proxy: no cloud dependency, no data leaving the site unless the operator explicitly configures it to.

What it isn't

It isn't a SaaS subscription, an appliance you have to rack, or a passive sensor that only tells your SOC what already happened. It's software, Go proxy, Python detector, Flask dashboard, that you run on hardware you already own, from a Raspberry Pi 4 to a production server, with compiled binaries for six platforms and no Docker dependency required. The same stack also packages into a single container for teams who want to demo or evaluate it in a cloud environment first, the on-prem path stays the primary, recommended deployment.

It also isn't finished pretending to be more than it is. The compliance and comparison pages on this site show gaps as plainly as strengths, including where SILDA is currently behind vendors who've spent a decade on native OT protocol parsing.

For investors

A category incumbents can't easily bolt on.

Why now

OT/IT convergence keeps expanding the attack surface faster than plant teams can secure it, and regulatory pressure, NIST 800-82 R3, IEC 62443, NERC CIP, is turning "we monitor" from a strength into a compliance gap. The incumbents built visibility-first platforms; retrofitting active, in-line enforcement, a cryptographic audit chain, and financial ROI reporting onto that architecture is a multi-year rebuild, not a feature flag.

Why defensible

SILDA's differentiation isn't one feature, it's the combination: Break-and-Inspect mediation + per-asset AI + a signed forensic chain + privacy-preserving federation + an on-prem agentic investigator, shipped as self-installing software with none of the appliance or SaaS lock-in every competitor in our comparison requires.

For integrators & partners

Bring it into an existing environment without a redesign.

System integrators

Three connection modes, inline, reverse proxy, or passive TAP, mean a pilot can start as monitor-only and graduate to enforcement once the customer is comfortable. Sector templates cut discovery time on day one.

OEMs & manufacturers

Ship SILDA alongside your control systems as a pre-configured mediation layer. Self-installing packages mean your field techs don't need a security background to stand it up.

MSSPs & SOC providers

Syslog/CEF, Microsoft Sentinel, and webhook integrations bring SILDA's forensic-grade events straight into the SOC tooling you already run, no rip and replace.
